This is a great quote from the Queen of England in relation to grief.
“Grief is the price we pay for love” by The Queen
A message from The Queen, read by the British ambassador to Washington, Sir Christopher Meyer, drew tears on 20th September 2001 at a service of remembrance in New York for the 250 British citizens still missing after last week’s terrorist attacks.
“But nothing that can be said can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments. Grief is the price we pay for love.” The Queen of England
This is such a beautiful quote. It is just so perfectly and utterly true. You hear it and think, “of course, somehow how I always knew that but of course it is: the grief isn’t just meaningless pain, it shows that the love was real, was deep, and that it continues”
